Leaders are People of Commitment

By Doug Franklin April 12, 2010

There is a difference between involvement and commitment. There are lots of people in church who are involved, but there are very few who are committed. That’s why we spin our wheels at church so much. We have lots of people going through programs, just very few who are actually changing lives. Real leaders go beyond programs and involvement to make long-term commitments that make a difference. Ask yourself if you have been involved or committed? Are you playing the church game of shallow involvement while people are really hurting, but their lives are just “too messy” for you? Or are you all in?

If you have other people’s mess all over you and you feel overwhelmed…then you’re a leader. Nice work!
